Inspired by the Hobo Nickels of the 1930s, our Dibenindizowin Patch is a reminder that colonial notions of Liberty are built off the blood and subjugation of Indigenous Peoples.
Text on the patch is written using the Anishinaabemowin Syllabic alphabet. Syllabics is an Indigenous writing system utilized by Anishinaabemowin, Cree, and Inuktitut speakers.
